Times Four

I really had to “steal” this from Charles Gramlich because I liked it so much and because he doesn’t do any tagging actually… :-)

I think I needed something light to match the summery mood brought on by longer, sunnier days, and by the approaching holidays.

So, here goes… (in alphabetical order, wherever possible)

The Birdcage
From Dusk Till Dawn
The Party
Pulp Fiction

Four Places You Have Lived

Cheers
The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency
Seinfeld
Star Trek – Enterprise (the last in the series)

Four Places You Have Been on a Vacation

Florida
Italy
Mexico
Prince Edward Island

Four of your favorite foods

At home, writing
On a sailing boat, sailing the seven seas

Your movie choices are fascinating. The Bird Cage AND Dusk till Dawn? could there be two more radically different movie choices? You are a complex human being. :)

Always a pleasure to meet a fellow Star Trek fan. Spock Rules! :D

And I follow IMDB too. The top 250 are generally very awesome!

And of course, Dracula, the true lover. :D

Love Pulp Fiction too (The Uma Thurman dance and the Baby Tomato joke :D)

Haven't seen the Birdcage yet. Will make it a point to watch it now.

This was lotsa fun. Now to see what Cat comes up with. :P

Corn on the cob doused in cheese and sprinkled with cherries and mushrooms,

My God! Vesper! You may have finally found the answer to Poutain!

It's good to get a glimpse of you in this way. I'd like to read those books again, too, as if for the first time.

Hope to see you a Paris! I'll know you by spirit!

Your movie list is a surprise. :)

Just out of interest, where did you live in Europe? :)

Charles and Bernard, I guess you're shocked to see "From Dusk Till Dawn" on my list. :-) I love Tarantino as a filmmaker (and Robert Rodriguez, his friend) - I think he's totally, utterly mad, and that's great! :-)

Aniket, you know the saying... all I ever needed to learn I learned from Star Trek. :-)
"Pulp Fiction" is full of memorable scenes, like the "royale with cheese" or Bruce Willis's dialogue with his girlfriend (wife?) when he comes home:
"Whose motorcycle is this?"
"It's a chopper, baby."
"Whose chopper is this?"
"Zed's."
"Who's Zed?"
"Zed's dead, baby. Zed's dead."
:-) :-) :-)

Thanks, LW! :-) Looking forward to seeing your choices. :-)

Great, Cat!!! :-)

Kaye, thank you! *blushing*
I'm looking forward to your answers. :-)

Mark, do you mean that bizzare typical Québécois dish called "poutine"? Believe it or not, I've never tried it! But, yeah, your idea sounds good... :-)

Karen, I know we have many things in common and that gives me a wonderful feeling. Thank you!
I'll know you by spirit! - what a beautiful thing to say... :-)

Benjamin, I'm sorry, that I cannot and will not tell... :-) :-) :-)

I'm a big fan of cherries too. I even planted a cherry tree. Although the tree is still not in production mode, I think I will get the first couple of cherries this year!

You went to Prince Edward Island?

ohhh... sigh. That's on the list. How lucky and wonderful for you!!

...so, did you see Anne's house? Is it there?

I too have a deep passion for the ocean and wish that I could be by it every day.
Nowhere near it, I'm afraid.

Good meme!

Your vacation sites look heavenly. Loved learning more about you Vesper. For all the love that comes through your work, there is mostly adventure here :)

laughingwolf said...

guess you got too busy to see?

oh well, it's still there... :)

the walking man said...

Yes did I misspell it? I hope I didn't spell something even less desirable sounding?

and uhh if you are serving up the corn on the cob thing...maybe I'll just have a bit of butter and salt on mine thank you.

I love your answers! I will save this one up for a week or two's time and do it then, in the depths of winter when I need something light and cheering to post on the blog!
Thank you!

What fun reading your 4's! I smiled when I got to the 4 novels--my son is reading The Adventures of Tom Sawyer for the first time right now and *loving* it!! I'm sure he'll someday wish he could have that experience of reading it for the first time again, too :).

Great meme, Vesper! I'm hearing the Cheers theme song play now...

I think you need to sail to Easter Island sometime. And you can write a story on the way back. ;)

Hi, Blonde Duck, thank you for stopping by and welcome! :-)

Jason, good luck with the cherry tree! I love sour cherries too but they’re not that common here.

Scarlett, the island is beautiful… with that red soil, and the rolls of hay, and the sea… *sigh*
Yeah, the house that inspired L.M. Montgomery is there and also a recreated village, Avonlea.
xoxoxo

L.A., I love adventure! :-)

LW, I was waiting for your meme – I didn’t think you were going to be that quick so I missed it at first. Thanks for giving me a tug. :-)

Mark, without the “o” it means “whore”… Luckily, I never eat those things together except for mushrooms and cheese. :-) :-) :-)

Thank you, Vanilla! It’s a good idea to use it “in the depths of winter”… oh, God, I shiver only at the thought – and to think that’s coming back here soon…
Xoxoxo

Marilyn, you should try this meme. It’s fun! I remember reading Tom Sawyer aloud and laughing… mmm, what wonderful times! :-)

Sarah, I love your idea – it’s an ideal combination! :-)
