take five rays of sunshine
dip them in the sky
next borrow a leaf
from a daring snowdrop
brush your fluffy cat
dreaming in your lap
gently
till you get some red
listen
listen
listen
to the children’s laughter
to the robins’ song
find a little buzz
from a little bug
bravest of its kind
put them all together
-no instructions needed
only enough love
on your fingertips
yes
this is how you weave
the tapestry of spring
This
week, the prompt at Geraldine’s Woven Dreams is “weave.” I know I’m late, but
you know what they say…
Last but far from least, I
would like to dedicate this (almost) poem to all the girls in the world, young
and old. Happy International Women’s Day!

...for us, another inch of fresh snow, which is ok, most times, but i'm SO sick of winter :(
and, yes, this poem has certanly has the touch of a woman behind. is it the patience, the attitude to appreciate the little joys? whatever, it is here :)

Just set yourself to that weaving woman! {;-[p)}}} Engender knowledge and the matriarchal society that mayhaps return sanity to the earth.
"take five rays of sunshine
dip them in the sky"
Those first two lines hooked me right away. Well done!
The first warm hint of Spring.
My first post to read today, oh what a treat Vesper! Love it, right down to that oh so silly kitty, Ched loved that too. ;<)
Definitely worth the wait.
Happy Weekend friend, G :<)
Oh my, this is just gorgeous and love the visuals in here.
LW, this is just wishful thinking. I have mountains of snow in my front and in my back yard and there's more snow on the way if the forecast is right...
SzélsőFa, thank you! We need that, I think, every now and then...
Brian, thanks! A recipe for the mind, to use on a gloomy day...
Mark, I will! :-)
Thanks, Paul! I love those line too...
Bernard, yes, even if it's only on a screen...
Geraldine, thank you! I'm glad you liked it! I was thinking of Mr. Cheddar when I saw this cat's picture... I hope your weekend is great!
xoxoxo
Teri, thank you so much!
I'm going to try weaving this beautiful tapestry. Spring seems a bit shy this year...I think Old Man Winter is giving her a hard time!
according to my monitor [computer linked to 'weather' network, somehow] it's now +4C @ 4:44am 10 march, going to +8/9 with rain] today
What a Spring tableau you create in the mind
