I like how full the sunshine is on the last photo. Now it's all fog and rain here... The poem is lovely, with a touch of real sadness. I hope all is well.
Thank you, Talon... Up close, bugs look like aliens more than we could imagine, don't they? :-)
Brian, I love the colors and the light in autumn. Very inspiring...
Fireblossom, thanks!
Thank you, SzélsőFa! There are 30 deg C in tomorrow's forecast so, yay!, summer's back for one day!
Mark, seasons that seemed a given are now changing under our eyes... Strange...
Lucky you, Charles! :-) We've had a very rainy and short summer... I feel cheated... :-)
Thanks, Geraldine! I know you love autumn. I love it too, mostly for the colors, and the bounty of vegetables, and Halloween stories...:-) xoxoxo
Bernard, thank you so much! :-)
Naquility, my garden seems a restaurant for them... Not just nectar, but petals and leaves too are on the menu. :-) Can't be too mad at them for more than a moment. They're all lovely! I hope all is well with you also.
Hey, Brian, thanks so much for stopping by again! :-) I'm fine, just entirely snowed under with chores... :-) Reading your poetry is one of the high points of my day.
Indian Summer is my favorite time of year. So not too surprisingly I made it the favorite time of my Fantasy bear (the bear with two shadows.)
Thanks for following! I see you had a story in the Lovecraftian Magazine. Both my END OF DAYS and THREE SPIRIT KNIGHT have Lovecraftian allusions. They are even in my novel about to be released.
Roland, thank you so much for stopping by! And for leaving a comment! And for following me! :-) We're lucky to have a gorgeous autumn here in Montreal, after the rather rainy summer. Lovecraft is one of my favourite writers. I haven't read End of Days and Three Spirit Knight yet, but the name of the building in Lucifer's Orphan certainly made me think of him... :-)

So pretty. The only time I can look at bugs up close is when my camera is between them and me. :)
Yes, so sad that the autumn is crouching nearby...but still the garden shines.
Gorgeous shots, Vesper!
its hard not to smile at he little bits of life...and those flowers for sure...
i am looking forward to autumn though...it is a breathe of fresh air for me...

Right on too early for summer!
Summer has at least another several weeks down here. Our hottest days of the year were the first week of September.
Pretty photos Vesper!
I'm an autumn person, through and through so no sadness seeing the change in season for me. I'm feeling energized these days!
Happy Autumn to you, G

Your garden and words hold the illusion very well.
your garden has some very nice flowers and tiny visitors... they seem to be enjoying your garden as much as you... hope all is well.
