Iceland - Days 3 and 4

Internet connection was very week last night... so I couldn't do much... We spent the night in a small cabin on a farmer's land... At past 11:30 pm, it was full light outside, strange birds were chirping, horses were munching on thick, crisp grass, and across green fields, pretty close, three glaciers were looming...

I was going to leave you with this image of ice age old ice washed up on the beach at Jökulsárlón...

Here are a few more from day 4...

Said cabins...

A Viking village...

Boats at Djúpivogur...

Bless bless! (Bye bye! in Icelandic)

Naquillity, thanks so much! You're right, so many new things... it's amazing... a beautiful night to you too.

Mark, I hope not too bad... no special signs of melting around here... I'm working up the courage to try the dried fish...

Charles, yeah, it's pretty cool. I'll put up some more pictures when I get back - they're on the camera.

So nice you're having this amazing trip, Cora! I bet this will be some inspiration for writing, and nonetheless, inspiration for life :)
Iceland is so beautiful, so dramatic. Reminds me of Norway, but it has the vulcanos, which makes it all more special, and more barren landscapes. Have fun!

Hi, Isis! Thanks! Yes, Iceland is magnificent, truly breathtaking. I'm sure that many views are typical to Nordic countries, but those strange volcanic landscapes surely look as if they could be part of my stories... :-)
