Phoctober Squirrel

Maht at The Moon Topples had this interesting idea of doing an image post each day for the month of October - he's named it Phoctober! Here is my contribution to this photographic month.

This is a cute squirrel I photographed from my bedroom's window.

a quiet October morning...

I'm listening!...

Where is my tail?!

Oh, here you are!

I love my tail / Oh, yes, it's true / I like to hug it / Dance with it, too.

Those could so easily be shots taken in my garden! Squirrels everywhere.

Lovely photos, Vesper. Do you see red squirrels in your neck of the woods?

Great pix. I'd love to have one of these as a pet. hehe

Very fun post, Vesper. You might want to suggest he spend less time with his tail and more time preparing for winter, though.

Just sweet dialogue - and very good photography.

Great shots, Vesper. Squirrels are so mischievous. Perhaps that is why I love them so. :)

Ropinator, thank you!

Vanilla, thank you. I wouldn't have thought you had them in South Africa. Interesting...

Szelsofa, I'm glad you liked them. Thank you!

Taff, yes, a very fall-ish morning. Was nice though!

Thank you, Ello! I was afraid it would run away when I opened the window, but it didn't. They're very used to people.

Addy, thank you! I haven't seen red ones, only some almost black. And, of course, the chipmunks...

Mad Munkey, thank you for visiting! Yes, me too! We once caught a baby squirrel who had fallen into our swimming pool - the pool was empty, just cleaned, and the baby couldn't climb back on the wall, even though it's concrete. My husband caught him, with big working gloves; he was very very cute but he was trying to bite my husband's hands. It would have been nice to keep him, but we returned him to his mother.

Maht, thank you! You're right; they are digging a lot of holes and hiding acorns in them, but I wonder if they will ever find them again.

Thank you, Bernita! I felt like a spy, clicking away from my window, but it was a good subject...:-)

Thank you, Jefferson, and thank you for visiting. Mischievous, they are. I love them too, even though they keep destroying all my potted flowers... :-)

Great pictures! I really like the yellow leaves, too. :)

Thank you, Jason! For this tree, yellow seemed to be the autumn fashion. :-)
