My Day

It's my birthday today.

I'm not excited about it, but I'm not sad either.

I just am...

... a year older

... a year wiser (not sure at all about that)

... just as young at heart

... alive.

The world tastes pretty good right now. Even a bit like champagne.

Happy Birthday to me? Yeah, why not?

Many happy returns! I've never really understood where that phrase comes from, but I mean it in the best possible way. And I shall get the ice cream for Ello's cake and polish it off personally :)

Happy Birthday!! Even when it passes just like any other day, you can't help but feel something is special on your birthday. Celebrate you!

Happy Birthday, Ms Vesper.

Devour the world -- it is yours for the offering.

Thank you so much, everybody! :-)

"Bittersweet" - that's the word, Jason. :-)

And a good voice it is, Jon! :-)

Yummy, Ello! :-)

"Many happy returns of the day" - Lisa, the ice cream - a very nice touch! :-)

You're right, Aine, I always feel very special throughout this day, and the feeling even lingers for a few following days...

David, "devour the world", yes, I like this. I shall do my best, my friend! :-)

I thank all of you again!

Happy Birthday!
I hope you did something nice.
I didn't do anything for my last birthday, and we were all in the throes of moving. But that's a mistake. Birthdays are important.
