Still Summer...

My Mother's exquisite tired hands,
my Father's gentle smile,
my daughters' tinkles of laughter
concerting with crickets,
in the tall grasses,
in the sweet sunset.

All is well, oh, so well...

Vanilla, thank you. Yes, peace is what I was feeling that night... The picture is the view across the street from my house.

Yes, Jon. You're feeling relieved too... :-)

Thank you, Scarlett. My pleasure...

feel like after we fell from the sky, we landed in some (well padded with leaves) branches, and now are gently being swayed in the soft breeze at dusk. I am surprised by how completely I feel your peace as I read it.

I love the contrast with the last poem. How very like that life is, the flying, the falling, the peaceful gentle rocking. One after the other, as we find our place (our center) in each moment.

Thank you, Jason. How comforting this peace is, every now and then... :-)
