Dance of Love

Into this wild abyss
of bliss
we fall

Some say it’s love
we call it
war

Onto this blade of trust
we walk
we dance

You hold me tight
as we abide
by this game’s
rule

Sweet avalanche
of blood
we seek

We fight
harsh tango of
the hearts

While in a wild abyss
of bliss
we hide

We kiss

Thank you, Ropi! I appreciate this especially since I know how you feel about the poems you have to analyse during your Hungarian class. :-)

Wayne, Seamus, CS, thank you very much for your kind words. :-)

I like how it matches the painting/photo above.
It is strange to me to think about love this way, but it totally describes the feeling. It is quite hot, as Bernita also's said so.

"Onto this blade of trust"

Yes. Perfect description! Like Szelsofa, I don't like to think of love this way, but it's not always soft and warm.

THAT is smokin' hot.
Wow!

What a lovely tango of words... of emotion, of wills...

I quite enjoyed that.

Thank you!

Bernita!!! :-) :-) :-)

Thank you, Szelsofa and Aine! Yes, I think love has many faces. This is about passion, nothing soft and warm in it... :-)

Scarlett, thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :-)

very passionate. More proof still, that I don't know how to tango :)

You have the best endings to all of your poems. They always stay on in my head even way after I've read the poem.

Love as a giving, and a wounding. It's so hard to pull the adversarial nature out of love. Is is fuel or failing for the passion?

I don't have the answer.

What passion, what fire! But it is a wild abyss, isn't it.
Smoking hot, Vesper. Well written and captured.

This is really good, Vesper! WOW

Thank you, Taffiny! I believe though that some way or the other we all know how to tango. :-)

Thank you, Ello! I must admit I'm a little obsessed with this poem - I keep repeating it in my mind, even singing it... it feels weird... :-)

Most likely nobody has it, Jason... :-)

Thank you, Vanilla! I have a very big smile right now... :-)

I'm very pleased that you liked it, Jeff! :-)
